Abstract

The article analyses the actual problem of reconstructing a holistic psychological doctrine of man. The methodological crisis in psychology is caused by opposing materialistic and idealistic paradigms, and to overcome this crisis we must change the interdisciplinary connections in psychology and bring back such categories as 'soul' and 'spirit'. Reconstructing the original meaning of these categories through textological analysis of the Bible and of other sources, on the one hand, enables us to distinguish between 'spirit', 'soul', and 'mind', and on the other hand, creates preconditions for integrative psychological doctrine of man.
