Abstract

The article discusses possibility to use method of computer-assisted psychosemantic analysis in MindReader procedure for studying personalities with abnormal sexual behavior. The method was used to study sexual attitudes, features of sex identity and preferences of sexual offenders. The sample included 20 males from 22 to 60 years old, who had committed sexual crime and were on coercive treatment at special-type mental health clinic with intensive regimen in Orel town. The subject of research was particular features of sex identity, preferences and sex attitudes of sex offenders. It was hypothesized that sex offenders may display pronounced affective reactions at stimuli connected with sex role and sexual behavior. The research results revealed occurrence of some issues significant to persons with deviant sexual behavior, such as sex role conflict, and existence of conflict areas related to sex role identity and significance of image of child as sexual partner.
