Problem of creating new experimental methods for solving applied problems in pathopsychology and judicial psychiatric practice

Abstract

The article examines the questions of limitations of existing pathopsychological probes, tests in relation to pratical tasks of judicial psychiatry. It discusses the specifics of diagnostic and rehabilitation tasks in the course of mandatory treatment of persons with mental disorders, as well as specifics of judicial psychiatric patients (knowledge of existing pathopsychological probes, tests, simulative and dissimulative mindsets, ability to control the display of latent socially unacceptable needs in the course of projective tests, cognitive decline, insufficient educational level). It examines the models of situations in the process of mandatory treatment which require evaluation of the level of the patient’s danger to society and establishment of a social diagnosis. As examples of creation of new experimental methods, the article presents new methods aimed at research of specific aspects of emotional and social intellegince, subjective assesment of the mentally ill, including persons who have comitted sexual socially dangerous acts.
