Social Conditions of Development of Students in School Settings and Features of Their Attitudes to School

Abstract

The paper presents results of an empirical research on attitudes to school in students of different ages depending on the specifics of their social conditions of development in school settings. The structural and dynamic characteristics of the students' subjective attitudes towards their school are largely shaped by the age-specific features of these social conditions of development. At the same time, the subjects' attitude towards the social component of the school settings is by far the most intense as compared to other components. It was also revealed that the character of evaluations of the social quality of the school settings affects the intensity of the students' attitudes towards their school, whereas features of social condi- tions of development in the school settings define their attitudes towards their teachers and peers.
