The problem of self-organized play in the context of A.V. Zaporozhets' concepts 2162

Abstract
The article reviews A.V. Zaporozhets' works on the problem of play activity, that is, specifics and development of play activity and conditions of pedagogical support. It is shown that the connection between play and cognitive development of a child is realized by means of developing the internal (ideal) plan of activity (A.V. Zaporozhets) and its cognitive core (S.L. Novosyolova). The author notes that the acceleration tendency is common for present-day preschool children's development. The author also describes a developed technique of evaluating cognitive development of preschool children that is based on solving the play task within «director's play» using a picture. It is shown that such play with the picture fulfills all criteria of a play. The article gives the parameters of evaluating the solution of the play task (that is, the character of the play task accepance, the structure of play actions etc.), which indicate the level of the child's cognitive development. The experimental data that has been gathered by using the said technique demonstrates the consequences, to which the acceleration of intellectual development, together with the deprivation of the leading activity, can lead.
