Cultural-Historical Psychology #1/2007, Pages 114-120 "Freud In Vygotsky. Unconscious and Language"Authors: Gonzalez A. Keywords: L.S. Vygotsky, S. Freud, A.N. Leontyev, inner speech, unconscious, sense, meaning Abstract This book tries to demonstrate that the principles of inner speech can explain the phenomenon of unconscious. Basing on the works of Vygotsky and Freud, the author proposes that both phenomena are involved in language, motivation and affective world. They represent the two facets of cognition. This enables us to use the socio-historical approach to the study of the unconscious. We also put forward a hypothesis on the functioning of meaning.
