Social-Cultural Influences on Cognitive Development: Revisiting Ten Years Later the Concept of «Engram»

Abstract

In this paper the author outlines the scientific heritage of L.A. Venger and correlates this scholar's views on child development with concepts of foreign explores. G.G. Price stated his belief that L.A. Venger's works on the under-conceptual thinking offer a new view of a problem of the relationship between cognition and brain mechanisms. Difficulties connected to integration of the Venger's ideas to the western psychological practice are noted specially.
