Defining and Structuring General Cultural Competence

Abstract

The article is methodologically based on L.S. Vygotsky's cultural-historical theory, culturological and system approaches in pedagogy. It defines the content of the notion of 'general cultural competence' and attempts to logically substantiate structure/content and structure/criterion models of general cultural competence.
