Abstract
Thought concept of empathy is significant for psychological consultation and psychotherapy, in academic science this term is uncertain till now of: there is a variety of approaches and difference of theories is conventional. In the given review the basic contexts the problem of empathy in philosophy and psychology are analyzed. This allows to provide complete vision of an investigated phenomenon and to develop the approach to studying and empathy development, which will satisfy practice inquiries. Author considers empathy can be seen as the factor of human intersubjectivity in Gusserl phenomenology and studies it in modern researches of problems of consciousness and knowledge. The special attention is given to empathy researches as factor of motivation of altruism, moral behavior, empathy in "person-person" professions, and also to foreign researches of empathy in connection with the mirror neural networks opened in 1990th.
