Information stress

Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of "information explosion" and makes an attempt to identify the causes of the "explosion" in general and the information stress in particular of the Internet users. The study revealed signs of stress, the most characteristic of the information overload of Internet users. The data suggest that in information stress along with the emotional signs of stress there are also intellectual ones. The person at this moment experiences strong intellectual load that may be a source of stress. However, questionnaires and methods used currently do not give a complete picture of the information of stress, so they must be further improved.
