Research of types of attitude of future educators to the student’s personality

The contribution reflects the results of an experimental research aimed at identification of influence of psychological peculiarities of different types of attitude of future teachers toward the student’s personality. The sample group consisted of 1170 students - future teachers of final years of different specialties if several Russian and Belorussian educational institutions. The research identified four main types of attitude of future teachers toward the student’s personality: formal, having low indices of studied components; emotionally positive, having high indices of emotional component and average/low of other components; cognitive, which had high levels of development of cognitive and operational-activity-related components, and average or low-than-average - of emotional and motivational-conceptual components; axiological, with high indices of all components. It is shown that the specifics of the content of structural components of the type of attitude of the future teacher toward the student’s personality depends on the experience of emotional living through the problems of students, dominance of worldly/scientific knowledge of man and laws of his development, conceptual mindsets, dominating type of centration, level of developedness of pedagogical skills and professional positions. Each type of attitude is specifically manifested in pedagogical activity in the process of interaction with students.
