Psychological aspects of the concept “the interests of the child”

Abstract
Based on the legal aspects, the author analyzes the psychological content of the concept “the interests of the child”, involving theoretical and conceptual framework of modern developmental psychology. Following the main provisions of child psychology, the author stresses the importance of a differentiated examination of the category “interests of the child”, depending on his age characteristics. The article describes the main problems and contradictions of modern approaches to the standards of children's development, the ratio of general and individual variations in normal development, as well as deviations from the norm, which hinder the development of the psychological component of the concept “the interests of the child”.
