Abstract
Normative adolescent behavior is analyzed using the concepts of “social norm” and “group norm”. We specify and elaborate the definition of “social norm”. The features of normative behavior among adolescents are treated on the basis of work carried out in line of the structural-dialectical approach. We summarize the socio-psychological characteristics of adolescence. We propose a number of grounds, acting as important ones for personal development of middle school students: social situation changing, allocation of three educational spaces in which student realizes himself – teaching, interpersonal relations, relationships with significant adults; peculiarities of teenager personality. We draw conclusions about the impact of adolescents involvement in a variety of social practice and group activities for the successful development of group norms in their behavior.
