Karpov A.V.
Doctor of Psychology, Corresponding Member of RAE, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Head of the Department of Labor and Organizational Psychology, P. G. Demidov Yaroslavl State University, Yaroslavl, Russia

The basic features of realization of the method of experiment in relation to the study of decision-making processes are the subject of analysis in this paper. The main requirements to the organization of an experimental study of the decision-making processes, which are formulated in the represented scientific study, allow us to identify a new approach to their research in the experiment, the fundamental position of which is the principle of action-indirectly modeling and study of decision-making processes. Implementation of this research approach provides, in our view, adequate experimental reproduction of the main attribute peculiarities of the decision-making processes – specific regulatory status and integrative nature of their structural organization. In addition, we consider the possibility of using of computer technology as an integrated tool of implementation of this principle.

Keywords: experiment, decision-making processes, regulatory processes, metacognitive processes, activities, internal validity, ecological validity, computer simulation
