Analysis of the Phenomenology of Autobiographical Memory within the Framework of Cultural-Historical Approach

2767

Abstract

The author reviews various studies on sociocultural determination of the development and functioning of autobiographical memory as a specific personality and cognitive system. The author compares these studies with her own findings which indicate the possibility of elaborating more thoroughly upon the topic using the ideas developed within L.S. Vygotsky's school of thought.
