The motif of the Caucasian robber Mulla-Nur in the V.I. Dahl’s and Bestuzhev-Marlinsky’s works 1282

This I.L. Bagration-Mukhraneli's article deals with «The motif of the Caucasian robber Mulla-Nur in V.I. Dahl's and Bestuzhev-Marlinsky's works”. On the example of one literary Hero - image of noble robber the author analisys dinamic changes in the russian prose of the Romantic period to physiological essay of the mid of the 30s - 40s of the XIX century. Portraying the same real-life character, Dahl and Bestuzhev-Marlinsky use different descriptive approach. Dahl made the most of short-spoken laconic ethnographical description without any admiration. Bestuzhev embellished the Hero with psychotechnical details scarcely caracterising the Caucasian robber-kohag.
