Clinical Psychology and Special Education Features of Parent Positions in a Family with a Mentally Retarded Child 3954Galasyuk I.N. Abstract
This article covers the specific nature of the parental position in a family, bringing up a mentally disabled child since it is necessary to psychologically guide this kind of families in all aspects. The notion «parental position» is regarded in the context of such notions as «parental attitude» and «parental mindset». The author has revealed types of parental position towards special kids as well as the empirical analysis results of the accepted parental position regarding mentally disabled children.
