Abstract
The article considers the peculiarities of senior preschool children's cognitive motivation genesis. The author sets up a hypothesis about initial interpsychic form of the presence of cognitive motivation of a child.

Keywords: cognitive motivation, the zone of the approximate development, cognitive activity, higher psychological functions (HPF).
