Psychological Science and Education Value Orientations of the Right-Wing Extremists 1637Dvoryanchikov N.V. Enikolopov S.N. Sokolskaya M.D. Fursova I.A. Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between value orientations of the Right-wing extremists with their personal qualities. The main emphasis was made on their relationship with the hostility feelings. The obtained results confirm the authors’ hypothesis about Right-wing extremists holding different value orientations from those of the young people of the same age group, who do not express right-wing political views. Value orientations showed weak correlations in the extremists group compared to the control group. The
level of «physical aggression» was higher in the extremists group, whereas components of «anger» and «hostility» were on the same level with the control group or even lower. The observed level of hostility was extremely decreased in the study, but related to it values factors were increased. The decrease in hostility authors explain by the specifics of the research procedure, but also by the increase of some values parameters that were negatively correlated with hostility.
