Research activity as a mechanism of professional identity formation in adolescents 1280

Abstract
The article is devoted to professional self-identification of modern teenagers. The results of a pilot study are presented, revealing the influence of research activity of adolescents on their building of personal professional perspective. The study was conducted with students of the Faculty of scientific training, set up in North Ossetian State Pedagogical Institute. A total of 70 subjects took part in the study, aged 15 to 16 years; 38 females and 32 males. We describe the specifics of studying at this Faculty. We propose that the research activity not only promotes the adolescent's personality development, but also activates the building of personal professional perspective. The methods used were N.S. Pryazhnikova Personal professional perspective inventory and content analysis. A comparative analysis contrasts the results of personal professional perspective study in adolescents engaged and not engaged in research activities. The results of the study show the effectiveness of our model of work with students and reveal not only the development of research interest, but also personal development of students that increases research activity in adolescents building their self-identity.
