Abstract
The article discusses the results of an empirical study of personal meaning characteristics of adolescents with various forms of self-destructive behavior. It is shown that in the context of social transformations of the Russian society, disturbances in the formation of value-semantic sphere of personality are the major factor in the variation of behaviors in adolescents. We reveal the specific of personal meaning characteristics of adolescents who are prone to self-destructive behavior: value conflicts, reduced meaningfulness of life, externality, low level of acceptance of self and others, lack of formation of social competence.
