Modern aspects of psychological and pedagogical work with families bringing up a disabled child 2425

Abstract
The article contains theoretical provisions on the main functions and directions of specialists work with families bringing up a disabled child. This directions are viewed through the prism of problems suffered by this category of families. The article shows the level of theoretical development of the problem and proposes the ways to its solution by creation a method of providing psychological and pedagogical help to this category of families. By viewing the family as the most important development resource of the child, the author proposes to differentiate the specialists work on different stages of the family’s life cycle because each of the child’s development stages has its own specific problems. The emphasis is made on professional skills which are necessary for working with all family members whose life is tightly connected to the life of the child, because an effective socialization process is impossible for the child without social adaptation of the family as a whole. The article also presents an algorithm of the specialists work which makes it possible to efficiently organize psychological and pedagogical help in the process of social adaption of a family upbringing a disabled child.
