Psychological Science and Education psyedu.ru Considering the gender specifics of criminal behavior in forensic psychiatric preventive measures 1230Kuznetsov D.A. Bulygina V.G. Abstract
For the purposes of development of differentiated criteria of prescription and cancellation of compulsory inpatient treatment considering the gender specifics, the authors carried out a com-parative analysis of clinical-psychopathological, socio-demographic and pathopsychological pe-culiarities of mentally ill persons of both genders undergoing compulsory treatment. 115 persons of both genders were examined – suffering from schizophrenia and organic mental disorders, who have committed offences and, under a court ruling, were prescribed with compulsory inpatient treatment in a psychiatric hospital of general and specialized types. The authors identified the indices which have a statistically significant influence on noso- and gender-specific predictors of aggressive and violent behavior of the examined persons. Thus, among the women with schizophrenia there was a dominance of personalities of a fairly high intellectual level who committed offences against family by a productive-psychotic mechanism. For the female patients suffering from organic mental disorders, the predictors of criminalization were the low cognitive level, auto-aggressive tendencies, dysphoric aggressiveness as a mechanism of crime.
