Mutual support in a professional collective and its connection with power parameters of organizational culture 2333
The phenomenon of mutual support is analyzed from psychological standpoints; its interconnections with job satisfaction, group cohesion and peculiarities of communication culture are described. They are compared with the research by R. Luis and E. Hall. In spite of the latent nature of mutual support this construct plays an important role in initial development and further functioning of an organization, it allows analyzing both behavioral and affective aspects. The author’s research revealed the chances of receiving and providing support as well as the emotional experiences of employees in these situations. The results display gender differences in mutual support and their links with peculiarities of Russian culture and mentality. Basing on the obtained results the author makes conclusions and discusses the issues of mutual support in the context of economic crisis.
