Play in a modern pre-school education 11269
Smirnova E.O., Doctor of Psychology, Head of the Center for Psychological and Pedagogical Expertise of Play and Toys, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education, Moscow, Russia, email@example.com
We consider the developmental value of the play and the reasons for its reduction in preschool education. It is emphasized that the play as a separate activity is now replaced by the gaming training aids. We present a comparative analysis of the play as an activity and as a form of training. The advantages of playing as activity include self-reliance, emotional involvement and spontaneity of the child's actions. We consider the conditions of formation and development of playing activities in preschool education: the openness of the educational program, adequate object-spatial environment and the play competence of the teacher. We provide comments to the “Declaration on the Rights of the Child”, related to the right to play.
