Parental Stress and Help for the Elderly Who Relieved the Loss in a New Issue of the Journal of ꞌꞌCounseling Psychology and Psychotherapyꞌꞌ

17.01.2022

235

The new issue of the journal "Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy" (No. 4, 2021) opens with the section "Empirical Research", which is devoted to the research on stress factors and psychological competence of parents. So, according to the authors of the first articleE.V. Zakharchuk,E.L. Dotsenko, S.Kh. Gaibov, the risks of trauma in young children are more often associated not with the peculiarities of their behavior, but with the parenting style. This conclusion becomes a burden of great responsibility difficult for parents to cope with without the help of a psychologist. In the article by V.E. Vasilenko, S.S. Savenysheva, O.O. Zapletina, in a certain sense, the theme raised by the authors of the first article is reflected: parental responsibility turns into a high level of parental stress. In the final article of the section prepared by E.I. Rasskazova, modern problems of stress and burnout at work are discussed.

The second section of the journal "Workshop and Methods" introduces a new methodology, "The Questionnaire of Interpersonal Sensitivity" validated in the Russian-language sample by N.A. Polskaya and A.Yu. Razvalyaeva. The specifics of psychotherapeutic assistance for elderly people with affective disorders experiencing the loss is raised in the second article written by V.V. Kornilov, V.S. Sheshenin and N.A. Malkina.

The socialization of children with autism spectrum disorders increasing significantly in number in the recent years is becoming an actual challenge for both professionals and parents. Authors E.Yu. Davydova,E.V. Khilkevich, A.V. Khaustov, D.V. Davydov, and A.B. Sorokin describe the ways to organize an inclusive environment for working with children with ASD in various museums as the most important resource for such work.

The fourth and the last article in this section may be of interest for counseling psychologists in terms of differences between generations in the psychological perception of the history of wars waged by our country. To study these differences, the authors A.M. Rykiel, N.V. Fedorova, and I.B. Bovina used the original method of visualizing the history of wars based on photos and stimulating the imagination.

The last section of the issue is devoted to methodological questions of psychology. Our journal has the honor to publish rare archive materials from the works by E.V. Ilyenkov dedicated to the unique project of educating deaf-blind-mute children. The project was launched by him together with A.I. Meshcheryakov (the text was prepared for publication by A.D. Maidansky, the comments to the article were prepared by A.V. Suvorov).

The section ends with an article on a crucial topic for modern specialists developing the tradition of L.S. Vygotsky: the specificity of the individual cases analysis method in cultural-historical psychology. This article is represented by clinical psychologists V.I. Oleshkevich and N.S. Burlakova. This article was the last of the legacy of Valery Ivanovich Oleshkevich, who left us this year after a severe and prolonged illness. Finally, the issue ends with a short text about the professional path of Valery Ivanovich, prepared by N.S. Burlakova.
