Social Psychology and Society Perceiving Art through the Artist's Personality 1657Krushelnitskaya O.B. Panasjuk A.S. Abstract
The paper presents outcomes of an empirical research on the features of social perception of portrait paintings in schoolchildren and university students. This investigation proved that one's perception of portraits is mediated by his or her attitude towards the artist's personality, as well as by the perceiver's social and age-related characteristics and orientation of learning or professional activity. The findings of this research may help improve moral and aesthetic education in schools and universities.
