Social Psychology and Society Teachers' Attitudes towards Students as Quality Factor in Educational Environment 2326Yasvin V.A. Abstract
The paper reviews the quality of educational environment from the perspective of its social psychological characteristics conditioned by teachers' pedagogical positions. The paper provides the outcomes of empirical studies of teachers' attitudes towards students and vice versa, and outlines a typology of teachers' pedagogical positions that was developed on the basis of J. Korczak's classification of 'educational environments'. Different pedagogical positions are analysed from the point of view of their social psychological effectiveness, that is, their ability to stimulate free, unrestricted activities of students as subjects of educational process.
