Данная обзорная статья освещает исследования американских ученных С. Кифер и Э. М. Риан, направленные на анализ восприятия учащимися различного рода характеристик, которые ассоциируется с социальным успехом. Данные исследования были опубликованы в 2011 году в Journal of Applied Development Psychology (№ 32, стр. 218—226) и до этого времени не были представлены на русском языке. Целью данной статьи является знакомство отечественных психологов с данными исследований восприятия американских школьников различных характеристик социального успеха в раннем подростковом периоде.
