Сложные открытые системы характеризуются не только гиперболической функцией ранжированного распределения своих объектов. Степень их совершенства, уровень их самоорганизации должен определяться также и характером распределения связей между объектами.

When doing a research on general characteristics of a system, it has been firmly established that the hyperbolical distribution of the main quantitative parameters of systems according to a ranked prin­ciple is observed the more precisely, the more perfect the system is.
