Abstract

The contribution justifies the necessity of identification of factors which are essential for successful rehabilitation treatment and prevention of repeated socially dangerous acts of mental patients, factors which define not only motivation for committing an unlawful act but its motive, as well as identification of peculiarities of perception of a range of new problems, assessment of subjective satisfaction with treatment. 68 males patients with organic mental disorders and schizophrenia were tested by a diagnostic complex consisting of known methods and new instruments used for delinquents in America and Canada, as well as a new instrument – test sheet for attitude toward treatment and hospital stay (Bulygina V.G., Kabanova T.N., 2011). Two groups of testees were analyzed according to their nosological characteristics. New methodical means used in this research showed their informative value for identification of problems articulated by patients. These problems must be discussed by doctor and psychologist together with patients and must be the targets in medical rehabilitation actions aimed at prevention of repeated socially dangerous acts.
