Preface

The third issue of the journal " Vestnik of St. Petersburg State University. Psychology " for 2020 is dedicated to clinical psychology.

In 2019, the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Department of Medical Psychology and Psychophysiology at the Faculty of Psychology of St. Petersburg State University was celebrated.

The St. Petersburg School of Medical Psychology has a long history. Her ideas originate in the works of V. M. Bekhterev and his associates and continue in the works of V.N. Myasishchev, with whose direct participation the direction of medical psychology begins to develop at the Faculty of Psychology of Leningrad State University. There were only four departments at the Faculty of Psychology opened in 1966, but in fact, immediately on the initiative of B.G. Ananyev, a specialization "medical psychology" was created in the structure of the Department of General Psychology.
