Abstract

A brief description of the DIR concept and its key methodology is presented. Floortime is a system for helping children with ASD. The most important role in that system is assigned to parents. The above goals, tasks and basic interaction rules in the style of Floortime are presented. Possible limitations in the application of methods in the work of specialists and parents in the implementation of a home program are also listed. The method is approbated and actively used by specialists of the pre-school education organization «Correction-Development Center» in Ivanteevka and Korolev.
