Subjective representation of oppositional contents: models of resolving contradictions

618

Abstract

The article describes three models of contents opposing to each other present in the structure of representations, when both opposing sides maintain their accuracy and activity in the person's cognition and activity, but different in the mechanism resolving the contradiction. The representations structure of a modern western individual exceeds the bounds of Aristotelian logic and corresponds more with dialectical principles. Any idea (notion) can be assessed by its level of dialectics with the help of two parameters: is the representation organized around oppositional category and does it have peculiarities that occur with dialectical resolving the contradiction reserving independence and meaning of both oppositions.
