Coaching and psychotherapy: the intersection possibilities of the practices

The paper presents a comparative analysis of select trends in coaching and psychotherapy. Specific characteristics of humanistic life-coaching and humanistic psychotherapy are outlined, as well as areas where their combination is possible. A comparison of humanistic life-coaching and understanding psychotherapy is made on the basis of the structure for comparison of similar anthropological practices developed within understanding psychotherapy. The perspective ways coaching practice could borrow different psychotherapeutic models and methods are described, as well as the ways certain coaching instruments could be used in psychotherapy to improve its efficacy.
