Abstract

In the present study the Essen Trauma Inventory (Tagay, Erim, Stoelk, Möllering, Mewes, Senf, 2007) has been tested on a Russian sample for the first time. Divorce, separation or quarrel with a significant other or partner (30%), death of a significant other (15.6 %), and severe illness (12.5 %) emerged to be the most severe traumatic events in the examined sample of 64 subjects. 3.1 % of participants displayed delayed reaction in the form of acute stress disorder symptoms and 12.5 % in the form of posttraumatic stress disorder. The data obtained gives evidence to the connection between remoteness of the experienced traumatic event and severity of psychopathologic symptoms.
