Used construction with contrastive-negative value in the stories AP Chekhov

The article discusses the use of structures, protivopo-representative-negative value in the stories AP Chekhov. Before the author had the task to describe the structural features of these constructions, to pay attention to semantic and pragmatic aspect. Particular attention is drawn to the opposition as a special artistic technique that the writer uses in his works. Details are described cases of strengthening structures with contrastive-negative value in the stories AP Chekhov. The analysis of catalogs compiled by the author (more than 100 examples), Cherutova AV by empirical (observation, description) and theoretical (induction, deduction) forms the philological analysis of a work comes to the conclusion that the syntax, intended to express the negative- contrastive values in the stories AP Chekhov, acquire different semantics, helping create a certain artistic images. By combining contrasting with other techniques enhanced the impression of reading. To give an ex-haustive description of structures with contrastive-negative value is only possible in the case of the consideration of their semantic and syntactic features inseparably linked.
