Psychological Aspects of Teacher's Innovational Activity

The author addresses one of the most complicated problems of teacher's professional evelopment in contemporary school. The article describes the factors that are especially stressful for teachers and that lead to disadaptation and emotional burnout. But the author not only points out the problems in teacher's activity, but also outlines the ways of solving these problems through teacher's involvement in different types of innovational activity. The preventive steps that should be taken in order to prevent teachers from becoming emotionally burnout include stimulating personal growth and creativity in teachers as well as providing psychological support to them. These steps aimed at stimulating personal growth in teachers can raise the level of psychological culture in educational institutions due to the fact that they are part of the holistic approach that focuses not on separate participants of educational process, but on school as the unit of educational system.
