Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the features of the psychological image of heart in patients with different forms of cardiac pathology. Three groups of research participants were examined: practically healthy people, patients with ischemic heart disease, and patients with psychopathology (schizophrenia) who suffered from heart problems due to their disease. The research was carried out in specialised clinics and hospitals using the method of semantic differential. It was revealed that patients with different types of pathology tend to have different types of the 'heart image'.
