«Human visible» as a sociopsychological phenomenon

Abstract

The articles deals with the phenomenon of «human visible». It emphasizes that appearance as an attribute of the «human visible», being included into the range of cultural values in the world of visual media, procreates such phenomena as «total preoccupation with one's appearance», transformative activity aimed at changing one's appearance etc. The article describes research areas and provides empirical data, elaborating the «human visible» phenomenon from the positions of contemporary applied social psychology.
