Repository PsyJournals.ru and Psychological Journals: Results of 2021
In 2021, the publishing house of the Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University (MSUPE) continued working on 14 scientific and scientific-practical journals. Over the past year, 600 publications have been published in them.
As of 2021, MSUPE journals are indexed and included in the following databases and lists: 4 journals are included in Scopus; 7 journals are indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI); 8 journals are included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) on the Web of Science platform; 9 journals are recommended by the State commission for academic degrees and titles in the list of leading scientific journals and issues for the publication of scientific results of dissertation research.
In 2021, the Web of Science Core Collection contains 52,700 Russian scientific articles and reviews. Of these, there are 321 scientific publications on psychology. The number of articles from MSUPE journals is 200, which is 62%. In 2020, the share of articles from MSUPE journals reached 29%, in 2019 – 39% after full indexation of publications, scheduled in July-August following the reporting year.
The Scopus database contains 180 publications of MSUPE journals (in 2020 – 142; in 2019 – 96 publications).
The indexes of the journals, which are a part Scopus, are growing in numbers. 1 journal entered the second quartile (Q2) in terms of CiteScore and 1 journal – in the first quartile (Q1) in terms of SNIP.

The data of 2021 show an increase in the demand for MSUPE journals not only by Russian researchers. In the journal "Cultural-Historical Psychology" in 2021, for the first time, the number of publications by foreign authors approached 40% of all articles published by the journal, and in the journal "Social Psychology and Society" the number reached 30%.
In 2021, the PsyJournals.ru portal – the online platform of the thematic repository of scientific psychological publications – was visited by 1.0 million users, which practically coincides with the data of 2020 and indicates a stable interest of readers. The demand for articles from the journals and collections placed in the repository and reflected in the number of downloads of articles per year, amounted to 1.3 million. Every day, the PsyJournals.ru repository is visited by about 4,000 readers of scientific periodicals.
According to Webometrics, the PsyJournals.ru repository takes 73rd place out of 304 international portals of scientific periodicals (as of August 2021).
In 2021, the value of the Site Quality Index (SQI) indication of the PsyJournals.ru portal calculated by Yandex, indicating how useful the site is for users and used when ranking search results in the Yandex search system, increased and reached 1310 (at the beginning of the year, the SQI portal was 1150). When calculating ICS, the size of the site's audience, the degree of user satisfaction, the level of trust to the site on the part of users and Yandex, as well as other criteria are taken into account.
