TOP 20 Journal Articles

The Reader Interest Index (RII) is calculated based on the total number of views of journal articles in PDF and HTML formats published on the PsyJournals.ru portal. The metric reflects the cumulative number of views during the reference period, defined as the interval from the beginning of the current calendar year to the present date.

Methodology for Calculating the Reader Interest Index

Article Sample Selection
  • The RII includes peer-reviewed journal articles hosted on PsyJournals.ru that have identified authorship. The calculation covers publications from the past three years, excluding the current year. Articles from the current year are incorporated progressively as new issues are published.

  • As of the current date, the total number of articles included in the RII calculation is 2584.

Reference Period

The reference period is aligned with the calendar year and spans from 1 January to the current date. Rankings are updated daily. Final RII results for the given year are summarised on 31 December.

View Formats Considered

For each article, views in the following formats are counted:

  • PDF: Number of times the article was downloaded in PDF format.

  • HTML: Number of views in HTML format (browser-based reading).

Index Calculation

The Reader Interest Index is calculated as the sum of all PDF downloads and HTML views during the reference period.

Article Rankings

Articles are ranked based on their cumulative view count on PsyJournals.ru during the reference period. The Top 20list represents the most viewed articles and provides an overview of content that has attracted the greatest interest from the readership.

Clarifications and Exceptions
  • Repeat views within a single user session may be included or excluded depending on internal criteria for determining unique views.

  • In cases of technical errors or anomalous data, adjustments to the RII may be made to preserve accuracy.

The Top 20 Articles list reflects user interest patterns and highlights the most popular works among readers of PsyJournals.ru.
