“Psychological Science and Education” Journal Included in Q3 Web of Science

A new ranking of scientific journals indexed in Web of Science (Journal Citation Reports™ 2023) has been published. In 2023 more than 21,500 scientific journals from 112 countries were included in Journal Citation Reports. Of these, more than 5,600 are open access journals.

The distinction of this year's ranking is that the journal impact factor (JIF) calculation extends to all Web of Science Core Collection journals for the first time, including those indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). A full calculation of quartiles by impact factor (JIF) for journals from the ESCI will be conducted throughout 2023, however the citation quartiles (JCI) for these journals are already known. For the scientific fields of "Psychology" and "Education," the indicators are calculated for 18 Russian journals, including seven journals published by the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. The “Psychological Science and Education” journal has the highest quartile among them - the third quartile (Q3) by citation among all scientific journals of the Web of Science Core Collection.
