The third issue of the journal "Language and Text" (no. 3-2023) is out. The section "General and Comparative-Historical Linguistics" opens the issue, as is tradition. The range of issues touched upon by the authors of the articles is quite broad: from Internet linguistics and neologisms in online advertising to the study of Orthodox discourse. Besides considering the grammatical aspects of Rutul and Spanish, the issue presents the results of a psycholinguistic experiment on respondents’ perception of Chinese texts written in characters and pinyin transcription.

Readers are introduced to the works of writers from Iran and China in the next section, "World Literature. Textology". In addition, the authors also present works on Russian literature, which look at well-known works from a new angle — in particular, M.A. Sholokhov's famous novel "The Quiet Don" and Alfred Haydock's story "The Manchurian Princess".

The section "Linguodidactics and Innovations. Psychological Basis of Learning Languages and Cultures" presents a lexical analysis of Russian textbooks for American students. There is also a paper by an Ethiopian researcher proposing new strategies for teaching pre-reading in English.

The full issue can be read freely at the psychology publishing portal PsyJournals.ru.
