The latest thematic issue of the journal “Psychological-Educational Studies” (No. 3, 2025) has been published, focusing on the pertinent and highly sought-after topic of developing and adapting diagnostic tools for psychological and pedagogical research.
The authors of the publication propose an adapted tool for assessing the level of development of visual-figurative thinking in preschool children (I.A. Burlakova, N.P. Radchikova) and for early diagnosis of cognitive development (N.B. Shumakova, E.I. Shcheblanova, Y.P. Kosheleva, M.G. Sorokova); for forecasting and analyzing social behavior in adolescence (R.I. Sunnatova, O.B. Krushelnitskaya, D.N. Lantschikov); and for identifying prosocial personal traits in young men and adolescent males (N.V. Meshkova, D.V. Yakovleva, and I.A. Meshkov); as well as for in-depth analysis of individual meaning systems (K.V. Zlokazov, S.N. Enikolopov, M.R. Babikova).
The issue presents updated normative data for assessing mediated memory, thinking, and activity regulation in older preschool children and younger school-age children (E.I. Izotova, G.V. Molchanova, T.P. Avdulova, G.R. Khuzeeva); it also examines the features of using the Wechsler Children's Test with children having intellectual disabilities (O.S. Alekseeva, I.E. Rzhanova, V.E. Guskova, Y.A. Burdukova).
The thematic issue will be useful for specialists seeking to incorporate modern, scientifically validated, and properly adapted diagnostic tools into their practice.
