The autumn issue of Clinical Psychology and Special Education, No. 3-2025, has been published. The issue covers a wide range of topics, from the fundamentals of self-awareness to the practical aspects of social adaptation. It focuses on the role of body experience, personal resources and external support in maintaining mental health.

A theoretical study is presented in the article by O. V. Ipatyuk, K. V. Vasin, and P. H. Katchieva. In this study, the authors reviewed foreign research on the role interoception plays in emotional regulation, self-awareness, and mental well-being.

The heading "Empirical Research" is represented by a wide range of research issues. A.N. Alekhin and M.A. Protopopova propose a clinical and psychological classification of types of mental retardation in preschool children, which could become the basis for differentiated approaches to correctional work. T.Yu. Sunko and P.V. Grishel empirically show that students' readiness for a profession is associated with intrinsic motivation, proactive attitude towards the future, and psychological rationality. K.K. Klimova and Yu.E. Kravchenko reveal the peculiarities of emotional perception in people who fear ridicule.

Two articles have been published on the problems of people with disabilities. A qualitative study by A.I. Khalil revealed the unique experiences, difficulties and aspirations of adults with autism when creating a family and leading an independent life. The work of a group of authors from Kostroma State University aims to find ways to improve the psychological well-being of disabled people. One of the practical aspects of this goal is the creation of inclusive clothes designed with the needs of people in mind.

The issues of positive aging and quality of life in old age are discussed in articles by O. Strizhitskaya, R.T. Safina and A.A. Mashyanova et al. Thus, it has been shown that personality characteristics and the phenomenon of gerotranscendence contribute to positive functioning in old age. In a large-scale study conducted in Arkhangelsk, a connection was established between sleep characteristics and psychophysiological indicators in middle-aged and elderly people living in the European North of Russia.

Clinical and psychological research in psychiatry is represented by three works. The article by A.V. Vartanov et al. presents the results of a study demonstrating the relationship between the organization of a network of passive brain modes and the severity of delusions and hallucinations in schizophrenia. E.M. Smerchinskaya proposed an innovative method for diagnosing speech disorders in patients with schizophrenia through the analysis of written autobiographies of patients. A comparative study of the features of mnestic disorders in patients suffering from schizophrenia and psychosis caused by the intake of new psychoactive substances was conducted by I.A. Alekseev and A.D. Shustov.

The heading "Methods and Techniques" is represented by two new tools. The article by S. V. Leonov et al. presents a modification of the disease perception questionnaire to assess athletes' attitudes towards injury. E.S. Oshchepkova et al. described the development process and results of the approval of a Picture test for assessing vocabulary in children aged 4-8.
