The fourth issue of the international scientific journal "Language and Text" for 2025 has been published. This issue is dedicated to contemporary research in the fields of linguistics, textology, and linguodidactics, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of language study, its history, transformations, and intercultural features. The guest editor of the issue is Zemfira Zulfugarovna Iskhakova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Public Relations and Media Policy at the Faculty of Journalism of the Institute of Public Service and Administration, RANEPA under the President of the Russian Federation.
The section "General and Comparative Historical Linguistics" opens with an article by R.A. Gelasimov, "From implicature to explicature: the pragmatics of omissions as the key to translating the concept of “contempt” in the novel by A. Moravia". This work investigates the cognitive-pragmatic mechanisms of goal-setting in speech activity and the role of implicatures in conveying complex psychological concepts. S.V. Ivanova and N.B. Mukhina explore the dynamics of a speaker's goals in the process of speech interaction. A.V. Ignatenko and A.V. Koryagin's article is devoted to the study of Chinese youth slang as an indicator of sociocultural transformations. N.V. Loginova analyzes the mechanisms of verbalization of national-specific concepts in the language of the Russian media space. The article by A. Loreti and E. Mettini examines the evolution of the Italian language and new criteria for assessing language competence in the digital age. Z.Z. Chanysheva analyzes the interpretation of the cultural semantics of lexical units. The article by Ya.A.-B. Shankhoeva is dedicated to the study of temporal and locative syntaxemes in internet advertising.
The section "World Literature. Textology" includes articles that consider the language of a literary text as a means of expressing cultural, philosophical, and aesthetic concepts. V.A. Galstyan studies the role of alogisms in the poetics of Osip Mandelstam. S.M. Capilupi's article explores the image of Giuseppe Mazzini in the Russian intellectual tradition of the 19th century. A.N. Kovalenko and I.A. Shilova conduct a textological analysis of the memory of the miracles of John the Baptist’s right hand in Old Russian Prologues. N.A. Nikonov examines the influence of "The Ladder" on Old Russian hagiography. S.A. Simonova compares the theatrical reforms of Luigi Pirandello and Antonin Artaud.
The concluding section, "Linguodidactics and Innovations. Psychological Basis of Learning Languages and Cultures", contains works aimed at developing the methodological basis of modern language education: R.V. Agadzhanyan and E.V. Yakovleva analyze non-verbal codes and zoosymbolism in the image of a politician. S.V. Bagmanova investigates modern approaches to the use of transcription in foreign language teaching. N.N. Orekhova examines the development of all types of speech activity in RFL textbooks for construction students. T.M. Rogozhnikova's article presents new methods for assessing the suggestive potential of verbal models.
