The new issue of the journal "Experimental Psychology" (No. 1, 2026) has been published.

The issue opens with the "Psychology of Perception" section, featuring two new articles. V.A. Barabanshchikov, E.V. Suvorova, and A.S. Borisova conduct a comparative analysis of the productivity of perceiving bimodal (face + voice) emotional expressions in fully and partially open-face conditions. E.G. Khose, M.P. Rasskazova, A.V. Zhegallo, and I.Yu. Zherdev explore the nature of the perception of dynamic, natural expressions demonstrated by participants in dyadic interactions in structured interview situations.

Next comes our traditional “Psychophysiology” section, which is presented this time with one new article. The aim of the work by V.I. Sobolev, V.V. Trush, and M.N. Popov was to study the relationship between the latency period of a tactile-motor response and the intensity and duration of a tactile stimulus in a psychophysiological experiment.

The next section, "Cognitive Psychology," has been expanded with three new articles. D.A. Koch and D. Lyusin's study examines the influence of a visual working memory feature on the rapid visual categorization of multiple objects. K.A. Kurbanov and V.F. Spiridonov's study aims to identify the specific features of naive and scientific mental models in assessing the truth of evolutionary assertions. S.O. Lebedeva and I.S. Morozova explore the specifics of post-stroke cognitive processes during the subjective perception of disorders of varying intensity.

The "Personality Psychology" section in the new issue is represented by one article. V.O. Dimidov's work aimed at studying the role of the instrumentality of current tasks in the motivational regulation of activities related to educational and personal goals.

The "Social Psychology" section also contains one new article. Mironova O.I. and Rogova O.S. examine the characteristics of how specialists perceive and evaluate the difficulties of interacting with codependents and their coping resources.

The "Psycholinguistics" section follows, this time expanded with two new articles. Authors N.A. Almaev and T.D. Salnikov attempted to develop an adequate system for assessing text complexity and proposed a pilot experiment design that takes into account the interest factor. The article by T.P. Emelyanova, V.V. Bochkarev, and S.V. Tarasov evaluates the dynamics of newspaper text affectivity in the 1990s, identifies its connection with key sociopolitical events, and provides a comprehensive comparison with data on the emotional state of society.

The next section, "Labor Psychology and Engineering Psychology," also contains two articles in the new issue. The work by L.S. Kuravskiy, I.I. Greshnikov, N.I. Levonovich, N.E. Yuryeva, E.D. Glukhova, I.A. Makhortov, E.D. Kislitsyn, A.V. Sokolov, and A.A. Zakharcheva aims to develop and test a method for quantitatively assessing the components of a pilot's integrated cognitive load, allowing not only to detect overload but also to determine the contribution of various professional activity modalities to its occurrence. A. Touil's article examines the impact of simulation-based training on the development of safe driving skills in novice drivers according to the GDE model.

Our traditional "Psychodiagnostics" column concludes this issue with two new articles. Kuvaeva I.O., Volkova E.V., Varlamov A.V., and Volkova N.E. conduct a psychometric test of the behaviorally validated rating scales of coping intelligence (BARS of CI) in terms of reliability, construct, convergent, and discriminant validity. Gagarina M.A., Fomina T.G., Solova N.A., and Koscioni V. adapt the Russian version of Koscioni's Temporal Orientation to the Future Scale, which assesses the degree of predisposition to allow one's psychological future to determine one's present functioning.
