The second issue of 2026 of the journal “Cultural-Historical Psychology” (No. 2, 2026) has been published. The issue includes the traditional four sections: Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Empirical Research, and Psychotherapy and Psychocorrection.
The “Developmental Psychology” section offers insights into the relationship between irony comprehension, theory of mind, and behavioral regulation; the development of emotion understanding in preschoolers; the phenomenon of storytelling in children and improvisation in adult women; how parental behavior and attitudes influence children's use of mobile devices; and the specific features of the social situation of development in infants.
The “Educational Psychology” section presents research findings on motivation for respect toward parents among Russian and Arab students, as well as on the relationship between well-being and academic activity engagement in university students.
The “Empirical Research” section introduces readers to the graphic method “Trajectory” and presents findings from a study on the perception of life changes in Uzbek culture.
The “Psychotherapy and Psychocorrection” section presents an analysis of the phenomenon of activity-based psychotechnics and the results of a survey of expert narcologists on the prospects of using motivational psychotherapy for individuals with substance use disorders.
