Ideas of Older Preschoolers about Information Security

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of forming ideas about information security in older preschool children. The interpretation of the essence is presented and the significance of the formation of ideas of older preschoolers about information security in the information society is revealed. The role of adults (parents, teachers of preschool education in ensuring the protection of children from information threats is emphasized. The most significant components of the ideas about information security of older preschoolers are considered. The levels of development of ideas about information security in older preschool children are presented, criteria (motivational, cognitive, activity) and indicators of their formation are developed. The basic and determining importance of the information culture of preschoolers for the formation of their ideas about information security is substantiated. The effectiveness of media resources in preschool education is shown. The conditions for the successful formation of children’s ideas about information security are highlighted: clarifying the concept of information security for preschool children; determining the content of information security knowledge available to children and the corresponding skills and abilities; developing tasks in a playful, entertaining form for the formation of preschool children’s ideas about information security; ensuring cooperation between preschool teachers and parents in the process of forming children’s ideas about information security.
